50 Ideas on Using Twitter for Business

I recently read Chris Brogan's 50 Ideas on Using Twitter for Business. This is an excellent list for those who are using Twitter for a corporation, self-owned business, or for personal purposes.

Until this Fall, I did not see a need to have a Twitter account for myself. I finally came to the realization that not only is it a great way to promote business, but it is also a great way to put yourself out there in the business world. Also, who could have predicted how amazing it would be to see what others in your field as well as competitors are up to and getting excited about.

The list put together by Brogan is a very comprehensive list, but to make it even better, there are some 200 comments by readers about other ways to use Twitter for your business.

This list should be enough to get anyone to, at least, consider hopping on the Twitter train with the other few million people out there. However, we all know people out there who are not quite so tech-savvy, and Twitter knows that too. So, they have included a Help page for those of you just starting out, along with a How-to video.

  1. Thanks Jena for your post I really like how you pointed out how many other people commented. Did you make any comments? Also great idea to ad a how to video.

  2. Mikayla, I have not yet made any comments, but I am not sure I am familiar enough with Twitter at this point to make suggestions of my own. But as soon as I feel I am, you know I will be right there!

  3. THe comments were really helpful and interesting to read. I agree with Mikayla about the How to Video... very helpful. I also agree with you about how Twitter can really help get yourself out into the business world.

  4. Jena, I really like how you incorporated the picture link to the how-to video for Twitter. That's very helpful. Instead of requiring readers who want more information to go find help themselves, you provide it right here. That's great!
